oh right I wanted to post this like a few months ago but i forgot so anyway, remember a long time ago i was begging u guys to vote for my bro's trashcan design competition right? well to those who voted, thanks a lot coz he managed to get 2nd place for his design (which he used for an MTV design competition but that didnt get through) and it even appeared in the newspapers! Chernchern! Why are u flying from Terminal 3?? I thought it's for budget airlines? =/ Or are there actually 4 terminals in Changi? And why are u flying tmr, where there's the F1 race? Anyway, I saw the F1 practice on TV last night and it was quite cool!

Chernchern have a safe flight! I'll wave to u if ur airplane flies over my house! :D Hahahaha. We must meet up okay, together with Shueli, maybe next Christmas! Since u're flying home this Christmas..

Anyway how's everyone? How's school? From the facebook statuses I infer that school's been pretty hectic! Somebody wrote "trying not to get depressed from all the studying or something".. oh man. =X I thought school just started!

I haven't started school. Just matriculated yesterday, and will be going for those start of school welcome speeches/orientation next week. For now I'm just slacking and rotting away, coz my german course and big exam's already over! Will be going to the city of the Black Forest tomorrow (supposedly for an exam, but this exam is no longer important so I'm going there for fun!)
The Black Forest town! It looks very nice because it's warm and sunny, which isn't the case now. I think got no more greenery already. The leaves are starting to get yellow and falling all over the place!

Anyway, I'm now living and studying in the city of Heidelberg, and it's a really pretty place! If anyone happens to wanna go tour Europe or something, be sure to drop me a message! :D

Again, it looks so beautiful because of the sun! It still looks okay in the afternoons now, but it's pretty misty and foggy in the mornings, as if the clouds descended or something. And it was freezing cold when I had to cross the bridge every morning to get to my language school last month. Brrrrr..

There's some Autumn Festival thingy downstairs my house now and the atmosphere's very lively! Live bands are playing along the street and there are pasar malams too!

This is the view of the pasar malam from my house! Got those people in weird looking jester-like costumes somewhere around the top/middle-left part of the picture.. they are playing trumpets at this moment! And behind the pasar malam is one of the faculties of the Uni. Got the statue of Bunsen in front of it. Ya the guy who invented bunsen burner lol.. But he's blocked by the trees! The Uni is really all over the place in this town! There are faculities/admin blocks/libraries almost everywhere coz this is a university town.. It's a tourist town too. I hear English being spoken quite frequently and see many Asians (esp Japs) on the streets.

Oh and I celebrated mooncake festival here though I couldn't go for MAF! It was quite fun.. we carried lanterns and walked around about 10pm and I think we scared the angmohs lol! Think we looked like people out of those ancient chinese stories..

the four hotstuffs have decided to plan the next class outing haha! we're planning a night cycling trip on 12th july saturday! Tentative plan's a light dinner at east coast park first, then about 9 plus, we'll start cycling to places like indoor stadium, newton circus, vivo, sentosa! Along the way, we can stop by at various places to eat!(: and in the morning we can catch the sunrise along nicoll highway too!(:

Those who can go pls tell shueli! DONT IGNORE US PLEASE. or we'll just go ahead ourselves hahaha. and it 'll be your loss! (:

btw yiwei's the main planner of the cycling route so go at your own risk okay! hahaha!

hahah am a little bored so i shall blog here since its been a while from the last time i was here. sometimes i really wonder how's everyone, sometimes with work i think time just flies like crazy man. but i thought it'd be good to know like which school you guys are going and stuff like that. (:

hmm for me i've accepted NUS biz, so yeah will be heading there! anyone going NUS? (: but seems like the biz bound ppl are mostly NTU and SMU bound right? haha.

and rawr i think learning how to drive is =\ very troublesome cos im learning under private. think im just lazy to go call the instructor bleh. im still sian by the fact that the provisional driving licence that costs 25 bucks is actually just a piece of not-very-thick paper. its just a cheat of money sigh.

It's a small world!

I've got no mood for homework! So i'm here to blog YET AGAIN.. mwahahha this blog belongs just to me now!

I went to Regensburg over the weekend for a Singaporeans' meeting. There were quite a lot of people, and we visited quite a few places together. Like the Volksfest, which is like a mini Oktoberfest where Germans drink beer, sing songs, dance and just get high! It was really fun coz there was the atmosphere. Everyone drank from gigantic mugs of beer there and many of the people i was with got drunk! As in, really drunk, and not just red-face! Yea coz they drank like 2 or 3 mugs which is far too much for asians like us!

We visited a Wallhalle too, which is a place where people commemorate the dead and famous. The weather was wonderful(though getting as hot as Singapore already) and so i've got beautiful pictures!

We went on a cruise too! Coz we wanted to get to this monastry place and then trek back after that..

Here's the beautiful city centre of Regensburg. One can really feel the Bavarian atmosphere here! You hear typical Bavarian street music at every other corner of the town by street musicans and the buildings are also the typical German buildings..

Anyway, I've gotta say that the world we live in is a really small one! I met our grand grand senior from the 03 batch while on this trip! He was Hadi, the one who visited us a few times back in HC. And he remembers Sophia (he was saying 'i know there's an Indonesian in your class!) and Samantha! Robert too. Talk about coincidence..meeting at a place 10,000km away from home, of all places! He's studying here too.

Okay, time to cook! And also homework.. boohoo!

Hello, I'm here to spam! :D

Happy Birthday Yuting!!

It's Friday again so yay! I'm going to visit my friend at Reinheim tomorrow because it's her parents' combined 100-years-old birthdays. Interesting right? I'm kinda anxious though; the train routes here are so complicated coz this country is so huge! I'm so going to get lost! :( MRT's so much more simple and straightforward!

Anyway, i shall blog about the people in my hostel today! There are people from really many corners of the world here. Sharing the same part of my floor are an Indonesian, a Chinese, Jordanians (?), a Korean and a few angmohs (i don't know where they come from! =/) 10 people live on my floor (which is the zero-th floor btw, they start from 0 here =.=) and we share a kitchen. Yea they're all very interesting people, and i've found out that koreans love singing a lot. I get to listen to free operas.. zzz... guess they're pratising their singing coz they're in Germany to study Music.

The people i mix more often with are the Chinese (who's my neighbour), the Indonesian, the 2 Singaporeans on the 2nd floor, 2 more Chinese on the 4th floor and 2 Japs on the 5th floor. We cook together pretty often, and go places. Cooking's very fun! Hahaha.

We made sushi last weekend.

Nice? :D

We went to a vineyard for wine tasting too last weekend.. got me a little drunk! We tasted 6 different kinds of wine. Not full glasses though. Phew.

hello! it's been a long time!

how's everybody? i'm fine, and it's great here! it's very beautiful, and the people are really friendly. they smile at u on the streets and say hi sometimes! the ppl in my hostel esp, even though we may not know each other. i like it how the ppl here are not spoilt - i'm especially amazed at how well the people clean up after themselves! for eg, they keep the trays in fast food places after their meals, unlike us singaporeans who just wait and depend on the cleaners to clean up for us. haha.

it's spring here, and flowers are starting to bloom! really pretty. it snowed last monday though, and i, being the swagu i am, got very excited. hahaha. still pretty cold though. today's much better; 16 deg. temps dropped till 3 deg last wk! was like a snowman -.-

i've visited many places while my dad was here last week, coz he had a car and so could drive us around. it was great! saw many ancient churches and other historical sites.

there are 2 singaporeans at my hostel and school now, so im not lonely! they are really nice and helpful folks.

for your info, we'll take bus 29 from there to changi village interchange
and board the bumboat from there to ubin (COST:$2 per person)

then we'll go rent bikes and cycle along the trail to CHEK JAWA
where we'll go catch fish,crabs and whatever else

this blog has been collecting dust for quite some time since the fish&co class gathering, so let the currently-unemployed-me have the honour of being the 75 blog cleaner(:

1st, it's great that 75 as a class has done pretty well for A levels!*claps*

and those who went for dinner that night at pepper lunch, we had a nice table number(:

2nd, we have the ns guys POP-ing!and so how can we not have any upcoming events for the guys to indulge in(:

top of the list is probably the nus open house.haha not officially a class event but im sure everyone should be pretty interested in nus so maybe we can all go together on sat(:probably 11 or 12 will be a good time, it takes pretty long to see everything.and after that if time permits we can all have a nice (and hopefully not too expensive) dinner somewhere(:

next up is the ubin trip that reihorng and samantha are planning with the help of dear welfare rep eunice and ct rep sophia :D im not sure about the details but it should be a 1 day thing,probably a saturday.more updates when they're done with the planning!which is of course, soon(:

another event i know of is a kbox session!heard from reihorng that there is this community centre somewhere in bedok where the rates are pretty affordable with good facilities.so all are welcome to come regardless whether u like english or chinese songs!afterall it's for the effort of seeing everyone else again(:again the date is not confirmed,well i was just doing my job as a one-off cleaner(:

here are more details about the class reunion this coming saturday. the last bad news was that we just found out that miss clarity cafe doesnt allow reservations at the bugis outlet anymore (recently changed policy... =\)

so...

we are meeting earlier at 5pm at bugis mrt and leaving the mrt station to there at 5.15 latest! because if we reach there late, we may not get seats! as you guys can rmb, that place isnt very big in the first place. hmmmm. and latecomers please let me or samantha know! but please dont be too late cos i dont know how long the staff are willing to let us hog the tables (especially when diners stream in during dinnertime)

Sorry for taking so long to upload the photos, cos I'm kind of busy now :) I've photoshopped and uploaded 26 photos from the class chalet trip, since more than half of the photos I've took are redundant or unusable, hmph. Okay anyway here are some, check out the rest at our photobucket gallery.

Hey peeps, ATTENTION HERE, my dad booked a unit at orchard hotel on the 22nd of Decem, Sat night, weekend before sat. You ppl interested in an overnight outing or something, and this time really go to some classy pub or something for experience? :) We can probably just put our bags there and roam ard until we are like freaking tired, and probably rest in the hotel if you want, You dun have to pay a single cent dun worry. I think the atmosphere will be great everywhere since its the weekend before christmas, unlike the other time it was a tuesday night, and thats why u only see all those ang mo's who dun work on the next dae haha haha.

anyway i wunt be attending the 4th of Jan gathering too, am overseas Oh, please try to tell if you are going by at tagging or smsing me BY WED 12th Decem.

Hope to have at least at least 10 ppl, if not i will probably pass on the offer to other groups of friends. Yep, since by experience we noe that classmates are really the most prone to drifting and the no. of outings will probably be much lesser as compared to other grps of friends in future, thats why i decided to give the class first priority first. Though i am aware, some of your parents are really very strict abt such stuff yea, :S just tell me the ur response ASAP alright. (:

if you are interested, here are the things to note, you can go earlier to the hotel or something from 12 onwards to slack, play cards or do anithing, my family is just using the room frm 7pm to 10pm after that and before that plus after the specified timing, the entire room will just be ours.

anyway the singapore christian evangelistic league(youth) is organising a christmas youth gospel rally and my church is involved.so for those i havent been able to ask personally during prom,i hope u all will come!

Zion presbyterian church (535 upper changi road - simei area)

dont worry if u all cant go there yourself,i'll meet u all at 3pm at tampines mrt station.we'll have to take a short bus trip into the place.

it'll be an approximately 2hour service with singspiration,performances put up by various churches (a skit on the 8th and a combined choir on the 9th which im singing in) and then the sermon(chinese with english translation).after the service there'll be dinner(should be very sumptuous unlike that time when some of u came for the bbq haha) and we can like talk as a class..we wont have much chances of seeing each other anymore so i hope u all will come!

so far sam's coming on the 8th and shueli reihorng and lekchia will be coming on the 9th.come on the 9th!!cos im singing in the choir haha.but yeah u all can come on the 8th too.

I have a lot to say to the class but it's kinda hard to express it.

The last major event of our JC life has ended, prom is over and our cameras are worn out from excessive photo-takings. So where do you go from here?

I'm going back to Canada next Monday, and I'll only be back next year. Then I'm going NS, 2 years of *$@#ing national service, and then it's off to University which would most probably be in Canada too. I suppose it'll be the same for most of you? Girls be finding some work first before going University in August or so, guys wasting time in NS and all.

Chances are, I'll hardly have any opportunity to see so many of you together again just like yesterday at Shangri La Hotel

Think back to the first time we met as a class. How did you feel about it? Were you in a 'OMG WHAT A GREAT CLASS I'M LOVING IT!', or were you in a 'Oh joy. People I don't know?'. Honestly I was feeling like shit when I saw the name list, coz I didn’t know a single person other than Yong which I hadn't really talked to in 2 years. Every one of my friends had their own group of people in their classes. Cept me.

Recall the first recess the class had. Can't remember? Of course you can’t, you probably, like me, immediately dash off to find your old friends and listen to them bitch about their class having only 5 girls while you console yourself privately, well hey at least mine has 15.

Again, think about the times when the people got knocked out of the class, WeiWei, Victor, Siyun etc. And the time when one came back. And the time when the 2nd Intakers entered and the class met all over again for the first time. How did you feel? What were you thinking then at these individual events?

Fast forward to the present, today. After everything we've been through as a class, through constant pissing Siva off sessions, faculty events, school celebrations such as MAF, all the sports events supported and performing arts concerts watched, the 'holy we did so badly for exams again (minus shueli/Claire) high five everyone beer's on me' times, the OMG A LEVELS ARE COMING panic times, the multiple studying sessions held just about everywhere in Singapore… I'll tell you what I feel, I feel immensely proud to have been from this class of 06s75. I don't give a damn if we're the worst in academics, sports, but all I can say is that this class has given me a hell of a time in the last 2 years.

When I think about it, these 2 years with you people has opened up many new worlds to me, opened my mind to so many things I've never though about. You people have enriched my lives so much (though not academically), you've made my JC experience so damn interesting. Let's face it, there's nothing in this world I'll trade for a class like this coz, well you get the point. Told you I don't know how to express it, but you get what I mean.

Did you feel sad when they announced on stage yesterday the end of Prom? Was there a twinge of tears in your eyes at that point? I can say I was fking sad at that point, coz who knows when I'll ever see you all again? The future is so shaky and unpredictable, who can tell? Times really passes by too fast, and soon the path we've traveled on together reaches a junction, and we all go our separate paths.

The only thing left to say now, is something I've never been really good at saying.

Thank you. For everything: the friendships, the good times, the sad times, the times when we all had so much fun and all.

To the bestest class I ever had: 06s75. I salute every one of you, and I wish you all the best in your futures.

haha heyy pple! i'm online and decided to blog abt class chalet!!! haha here's a few thing a few of us discuss the other day:

1) dont order the package for bbq stuff. yong recommended us to order individual stuff instead and buy our own utensils since its cheaper (he ordered our bbq last year). and in the "basic package", there's stuff like craabstick which i doubt anyone will eat yupp. what do you guys think? (:

2) invite ALL our teachers to bbq haha and our first thre months friends! weiwei, victor etc.. :D

3) a draft plan of hows chalet like:

day 1: afternoon board games (haha) twister (it's the mat with coloured dots, then you spin the wheel and see which colour you must place your hand/any available body part on.. yong says he will buy HAHA), night bbq, arcade!
day 2: swimming, bowling, rent bikes, night cycling!! (dont complain yw! you pro lahh!)
day 3: check out!

*bike rental: rh said can either rent overnight or for two days. so if you guys want to rent on day 1 also can.
*our chalet aloha loyang is near downtown east, so means there's alot to do!! haha (no lan, guys!!!)

chalet: aloha loyang, and claire said its the pool terrace near the swimming pool.

hey if u're in the LT3 lecture group for chem and are supposed to do the N2006 papers 1 and 2 for tmr and paper 3 for wed, be careful not to do the wrong paper! because in the $1.20 stack u bought from the bookshop, the paper 3 isn't 2006's; it's 2004's. the correct N2006 paper 3's in another separate set tt i gave out last week.

and here's the errata outside the photocopying shop for those colourful chem booklets. the photocopying shop aunties were laughing at yc and me while we took the pics. -.-

hello!

for bio lecture, you have to do BOTH specimen papers,H1 and H2.

and for bio remedial on monday, miss wang'll be going through the rest of the specimen paper that wont be covered in the lectures.
People with E,S,U for BT2 must attend. Those with D can choose whether to attend or not. Anyone else who wants to go has to ask ms wang first.

Oh and ive got extra copies of the core rev papers, so who dont have, can take from me yup.

(A) MATH REP of each class will NEED TO COLLECT Prelim H2 Math Paper
1 & 2 Solutions for your OWN class at the PHOTOCOPYING SHOP on 25/9
BEFORE PROCEEDING TO THE RESPECTIVE VENUE FOR RETURNING OF ANSWER
SCRIPTS. Each set consists of 3 double-sided sheets.
(B) A Post-Prelim Math Revision Booklet which costs about $1.70 each
will be ready for collection next Monday (24/9) or Tuesday (25/9).
More details will be pushed out within this week, so check it here
at SMB later!
In total, Math Rep of each class should get ready $(2N) for the math
materials, where N = no. of people in your class.
If anyone has financial difficulty, please feel free to approach me
or math tutor to DISCUSS it over...

Hi 75ers! Thanks for your comments at the tagboard! Haha :) it's a real joy reading them. Here is the updated version of the graduation day video:

Here are some of the modifications:
1. Compressed the first 2 parts a little, freeing up several seconds for the later part where we start spamming all the group photos :)
2. Updated the last part with the crazy photos we took during our last CT session
3. Adjusted the volume of music
4. Removed credits since they're taking up precious screening time XD

Several more wrinkles to be ironed out:
1. Adding Yiwei and Simon's photo to the baby and grownup collage in the end
2. Change the Ostra gang photo in the first part (they want a nicer one :P )
3. I guess that's all.

Since the boarding school computer lab closes at 10+pm I will most probably unable to see your response after that time. For any urgent changes you want me to make please SMS me asap :) preferably before 3am (I must sleep by 3am! or I'll be a zombie tmr) Thanks!

I've just uploaded our graduation day video :) yay! The YouTube version looks a little distorted but don't worry the original video is perfectly fine...

For those who want to original (30+mb version), you can download it from zShare.

Here are some suggested modifications (after I watch the video lar) I don't know whether you guy want me to modify it
1. In the last part of the video I think that the photos are being cycled too quickly. Like erm you can't see everything clearly then you have another photo popup right in front of your face, so most probably I'll have to remove some photos.
2. The lenght exceeds the stipulated 3min mark - it's 3:20. Some things have to be cut out.
3. Any violet objections of certain photos which you have them to be removed?
4. The baby photo collage at the end is missing Simon and Yiwei. The finalised version is not available at the time of rendering, but no worries they'll be there when the video is done :P

Please leave comments :) I need them to improve this video and yep I'll need to pass it to the teacher-ic by this Friday. Jiayou for Maths test tmr XD

P.S. Kudos to Eunice for planning the storyboard and collating all the photos for me! What I did was just piecing them together :)

hello people!

for the birth of our graduation video (photo collage), many many many photos are needed! fyi, max time for this is 3 minutes. hmmm and terry is nice enough to help us do the video thingy, but of course we have to facilitate him yeah? sorry this is a bit urgent as well, cos deadline is end of aug and its week 9 coming soon and we dont have sch on week 10.

so right now, eh need your help for some stuff:

- send photos you want to put up especially (those you think cannot be missed, like lame and funny photos, sweet photos, GROUP photos or candid ones) to eunice's email inbox k!
- include a caption for ur picture if possible
- try to make sure the resolution of the picture is high enough, so it wont be pixelised or something!
- you can try sending videos but since video is 3 minutes long only, we see how we can put them up in...
- so pls send all of thse to me by saturday night!

We are sitting at the seat near the entrance to the tennis courts

Pls bring your own writing materials and GC. Question paper and
Formula Booklet will be provided.

If you have valid reasons to miss the practice session, pls kindly
inform your tutor and from there, to have an alternative arrangement
to sit for the paper.

For what to be tested in paper 1, pls refer to syllabus outline
printed in your TYS (Page 9 - 11 for outline, content details on
contents on page 12 - 19).

Paper 2 will be held on next next week, Week 9 Thu (23/8), 3.15pm to
