Math Notice

1. The revision lecture topic this Friday will be Functions and Graphing techniques. Students are expected to solve problems on the spot. Please bring your notes along for reference.

2. Please make the following amendments to these tutorials:

a. For "Extra Questions on Sampling" tutorial - Q7iii) Please change "widest" to narrowest, and delete "at least".

b. For "Regression & correlation" tutorial - Q4c Please delete "implies that X and Y".

Hey all I’m helping my junior advertise this, he’s helping to organize this event going on at Zouk on 7th August, before National Day, its called YouthNite, there’ll be artists performing such as Paul Twohill (lol), Electrico, and the Battle of the Band finalists, tickets are going at $15 each. If you’re interested in going, you can eh… get the tickets from the place where you supposed to get them. I don’t have a clue of where to buy them, my junior never told me, now that I think of it. Lol. Anyway help me spread the word if yall want.

class outing.

hey 75,

since it's half day on monday (yay!) and we end sch at 11,sam and i was thinking if you all would want a class lunch somewhere together or to eat in sch and then slack at places like venezia with chicken from cold storage at 6th avenue or island creamery?reply by tagging yeah?(: it's probably one of the last few chances our class can slack together for a while so ya.i suggest 6th avenue cos we just had our recess at 10 and if anyone's still hungry after that u all can grab a chicken from cold storage or a cup of icecream at venezia.but of course anywhere else is fine too(:

panacea

heh i went to check dictionary.reference.com for the meaning in case mrs ong ask us again.so all of u all memorise the following 2 definitions:


1. a remedy for all disease or ills; cure-all.
2. an answer or solution for all problems or difficulties: His economic philosophy is a good one, but he tries to use it as a panacea.

i think the 2nd definition is more appropriate for the context.and thus the answer to the multiple choice qn in the time ws is option a) universal solution!

to summarise: panacea is a solution for all problems(:

okay!u all should have it drilled in ur heads already!

we've got a date!

hello. ( :

after much consideration, i suppose the most probable dates for end-of-year class chalet will be 28th to 30th nov. any strong objections?

its like right after the art paper haha, and before prom yeah. so if prom's on the 1st or 2nd then its right before. if prom's later, then you guys will have time to go shopping haha!

yay. hmmmm really i would say aloha loyang's quite worth the money, but i guess it all depends on how many people there will be staying overnight to determine which kind you want to book. haha. cos no point booking a damn big one if only very little staying xD

oh yes, at least this discussion is getting somewhere.

chalet??

hey class!

dont know why suddenly everyone started talking in bio lecture about having a class chalet in the dec hols. but anw, since the talk has started, why not continue haha!

claire probably has lobang booking chalet for us, yep but i need to give her the dates. but now just wanna ask what are the probable dates that you guys dont mind having it?

know our As end on 22nd nov for most of us, for the art students it would be 27th nov. and did someone say prom is early dec? or yeah roughly when do you guys think would be good? (:

before prom? after prom? early, mid or late dec?

and when you cant make it if you know haha.

pls let me know okay! tag, msg, whatever crap lah, just let me know!
